Mike Heaviside, Adam Wassall, Ben Pownall and Maisie Jean are Maisie Jean and the Noise Machines, a newly-formed Leeds Conservatoire band. Inspired by grunge and post punk icons like Hole and Joy Division, the band is built around reimagining Maisie Jean’s anarchic ambient electronic pop in a live, guitar-driven setting. They have played many venues in both Sheffield and Leeds since their inception in January 2026, with notable shows at Abbeydale Live Festival, a pop up shop supporting Reverend and the Makers, and headlining Sheffield Food Festival 2026.
