About these terms

Leeds Gig Guide (leedsgigguide.com) is a free, non-profit guide to live music in Leeds, run by Not a thing. CIC (company number 15685867, registered in England and Wales). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these terms.

The listings

We gather gig details from public sources (venues, promoters, ticket sellers, artists, posters and social media) and from people who send them to us, and a member of our team checks each listing before it is published. Even so, dates, times, line-ups and venues change, gigs get cancelled, and we make mistakes. Please check with the venue or ticket seller before you travel or buy a ticket.

We do not sell tickets. Ticket links take you to other companies’ websites, with their own terms. Any purchase is between you and them, and we are not responsible for their websites, their tickets, or gigs that are cancelled or changed.

Listing a gig does not mean we are connected to, or endorse, the venue, promoter or artist, and their names and logos belong to them.

Posters, images and other people’s content

Posters, logos, photographs and text about gigs belong to the people who made them. We show them to promote the gigs they advertise, which is what they were published for. If you own something on the site and want it removed, corrected or credited, email [email protected] and we will sort it out quickly.

Using what we publish

You are welcome to share links to the site, take screenshots of listings, and quote what is on for personal, non-commercial use, ideally with a link back. If you would like to reuse the listings in bulk, or in another product or service, ask us first. We are a non-profit and we usually say yes.

Accounts and claiming a page

Venues, artists and promoters can claim their page and edit it. Registration is otherwise closed. If you claim a page you confirm that you are, or are authorised to act for, the venue, act or promoter it describes. Each page has one owner. We check claims before approving them, and we can remove ownership, undo changes or close an account if we believe a claim was false or an account is being misused.

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 16 to hold an account.

Anything you add to your page must be accurate, yours to use (or used with permission), and lawful. Do not add anything offensive or misleading, or anything that impersonates someone else. You give us permission to show what you add on the site, in our social media posts and in the guide images we publish, for as long as it is on your page. Our team can edit any page and may correct or remove content.

To close your account, email us. Your ownership of any page ends when the account closes.

Fair use of the site

Do not try to break into the site, overload it, interfere with other people’s use of it, or copy it at a rate that disrupts it. Do not make a claim on a page that is not yours.

Availability and liability

The site is free and provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw any part of it. To the extent the law allows, Not a thing. CIC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on a listing, including the cost of tickets or travel for a gig that was changed or cancelled. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
