About this venue

The Brudenell Social Club was founded in 1913 and is a community, not-for-profit venue in LS6, a few doors down from the Royal Park pub. The club has an open music policy. There are events most nights of the week, put on by a range of local promoters across a wide range of genres. Franz Ferdinand, the Kaiser Chiefs and Tom Jones are among the artists who have played here.

Gigs happen in two rooms, the Main Room and the Community Room, which was added in 2017. It's a social club as well as a venue. There's a lounge, a games room with a snooker table, five pool tables, darts, table football and TVs showing sport. The bar serves local cask and craft ales at fair prices, and Pieminister pies. Photography, film and origami groups meet here too. The club opens from 12 noon, and gig doors are usually around 7.30pm.

There's step-free access from the main entrance into both event rooms and to the accessible toilet, which uses a RADAR key. There's no fixed raised viewing platform, but both rooms have accessible viewing spots. The venue gives a free personal assistant or companion ticket and can arrange early entry, and assistance dogs are welcome. The stages are three or four steps up, and there are no lowered bar counters. The venue doesn't offer BSL, captioning or audio description as standard.

Burley Park station is about 850 metres away and Leeds station about 3 km. The nearest bus stop is about 120 metres from the door and is served by the 56 to and from the city centre. There's no customer car park, but taxis can drop off at the top of the car park, and there's on-street parking nearby, subject to local restrictions.
